Over the weekend of District 7280 Conference our members and their guest donated 511 lbs of food to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwestern PA. Additionally Rotarians and guests packed 1400 backpacks Saturday afternoon. More details can be found here on the backpack program:
Each backpack contains 6 meals and is distributed to students within 11 counties in Northwestern PA.

Also over the weekend $623 was raised for the End Polio Now Campaign and is on its way to Rotary International to be match $2 for every one by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  Our efforts will provide $1,869 to help vaccinate children and ultimately eliminate the wild Polio virus in the world.  District 7280 would like to thank Aaron Bloome for his efforts.  If you would like to know more about Aaron's music or future plans you can provide your contact information to District Governor Scott Bayline.

Rotarians and guest also raised $589 for the Ehlers Danlos Society over the weekend as well as created awareness to the connective tissue disorder, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.  A thank you to Shani Weber for sharing her time and information with us.
